Accommodation Terms and Conditions

  1. Reservation Policy
    • The minimum stay is one night, and guests must make reservations at least 24 hours in advance.
    • Full payment for at least one night or one week is required to confirm your reservation. Reservations are confirmed after submitting the online reservation form, confirming details with our agent, making payment, and receiving an email with confirmed booking details and check-in instructions.
  2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
    • Cancellations made 72 hours or more before check-in will receive a full refund.
    • Cancellations made 24 to 72 hours before check-in will receive a 50% refund for the first night or week.
    • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before check-in will require full payment for the first night.
    • Rescheduling is allowed at no additional cost.
  3. Check-in and Check-out
    • Check-in time is 2 PM, and check-out time is 11 AM.
    • Late check-in and check-out are available upon advance notice.
  4. Payment Terms
    • We accept payment via credit card, bank transfer, Paypal, CashApp, Zelle, and cash.
    • The management will charge 15% GST on all payments (Goods and services tax).
  5. Security Deposit and Damages
    • Guests are fully responsible for any damages caused to the property during their stay.
  6. House Rules
    • No smoking is allowed in rooms or within the gated community.
    • No pets are allowed.
    • The maximum occupancy per room is two people. For additional guests, a 25% surcharge will be added to the bill.
    • Loud parties are not permitted inside the rooms or homes. If you plan to host a party, please inform management.
    • Quiet hours are from 9 PM to 9 AM.
    • Guests are responsible for securing their personal belongings and locking rooms and homes. Management is not responsible for theft or damage to personal property.
  7. Liability and Force Majeure
    • Management is not responsible for damages or interruptions caused by natural disasters, pandemics, or other unforeseen events that affect the reservation.
    • The laws of Sierra Leone govern these terms and conditions.
  8. Utilities and Electricity
    • As an off-grid sustainable community, electricity is limited. We provide 8 hours of electricity daily via a diesel generator (7 AM—10:30 AM and 7 PM—11:30 PM). During these hours, guests may use heavy appliances like air conditioning and refrigerators.
    • Solar-powered electricity is available at all other times for moderate usage, such as charging phones, tablets, and laptops and maintaining the internet and lights.
    • Suppose guests require additional electricity for heavy appliance use. In that case, you may purchase diesel at an additional cost of $5 per gallon, covering approximately 2 hours of generator use. An extra 8 hours of electricity costs $20/day, payable in cash at least 24 hours in advance.
  9. Transportation
    • Public transportation is limited in the area. Visitors are advised to have a private vehicle or be comfortable using motorbikes.
  10. Booking Modifications
    • Guests may request modifications to their booking after confirmation.
  11. Updates to Terms and Conditions
    • We reserve the right to update our terms and conditions as needed. The most recent version will always be available on our website.
